Our family-owned and operated company began in 1946 in Longview, TX as Cobb's Southwest Electric. Frank Cobb started the company. It initially operated as a union shop, building a strong reputation with customers and the community. We have earned many repeat customers, who have been happy with our electrical services.
A family-run, local electric company
In 1967, Frank's son, Charles, joined the company and eventually took over the business. After several decades as a union shop, Charles Cobb re-opened Cobb Electric in 1993 as a non-union shop.
Today, Charles's daughter, Beth, manages the office operations. In 2005, her husband, Paul Matlock, became the technician manager. Cobb Electric is now in its 3rd generation.
Projects big and small
Cobb Electric has successfully completed hundreds of projects, such as sports field lighting and parking lot lighting. We have served churches, schools, banks, restaurants, residential construction, commercial retail space, office space, and industrial shops.
We are known for having some of the most talented, experienced, and professional electricians in the area. Our team includes only state-licensed electricians and we are fully insured with general liability and worker's compensation.
